Studio Policies

Attendance

Each student is allowed 1 makeup lesson per month for planned absences such as family vacations. You must cancel and reschedule 2 days prior to your regularly scheduled lesson or you will be charged whether you attend the lesson or not. Forgotten lessons cannot be made up. 

 

Sick policy / Emergencies

I understand that sometimes life happens. Makeup lessons or lesson credits will be given for unplanned absences such as illnesses and funerals. 

 

Punctuality 

Students are expected to show up on time. If you are late, your lesson will be cut short as other students are scheduled directly following your lesson.

 

Tuition

I accept cash, check, or Venmo. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. If tuition is not paid by this date, a $5 late fee per student will be added to your monthly dues. 

 

Parent and Student Expectations

Students are expected to practice 4 days a week outside their private lessons. Parents should help students practice. Parents of a 1st-year student should attend lessons with their student, as this makes practicing at home much easier. Students are expected to bring their books and materials to each lesson. I will fill out a practice sheet each week detailing what and how to practice. Students will be rewarded for full, carefully marked practice sheets. 

 

Termination of Lessons

A 15-day advanced notice must be given should you decide to terminate lessons. If you wish to take a break from lessons, you must continue paying tuition to hold your spot. If you choose to terminate and then decide to come back, please note that you may be placed on a waiting list, as studio availability varies.
